JFK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT — A missing 31-year-old actress who was missing for three days and who police say may have had a history of mental illness was found Thursday night at JFK Airport, officials said.

According to a Port Authority spokesman, Mabel Pantaleon was buying a plane ticket in Terminal 7 on Thursday when her name was flagged in the system.

"We got involved once the name popped up in the database," the spokesman said. "Airline officials detained her until officers arrived."

Pantaleon, who appeared in an episode of the hit Showtime series "Dexter" was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where authorities notified her family.

Mabel's mother, Silvia Pantaleon, who would not eleaborate on whether or not her daughter had a history of mental illness, said she was relieved, but didn't know why her daughter went missing.

"Maybe she was trying to go somewhere, I haven't spoken to her," the older Pantaleon told DNAinfo.com New York. "At least she is ok. Nothing happened to her while she was wandering."

Port Authority and police officials did not immediately have an explanation for her dissappearance.
