Plaid-Clad Robber Snatches Woman's iPhone on D Train in The Bronx

THE BRONX — Cops released a video Thursday of a plaid-clad robber who swiped a woman's iPhone while they rode the D train, the NYPD reported.

The suspect snatched the phone from the woman's pocket on July 11 about 8 a.m., police said. A surveillance camera at the Grand Concourse and East Kingsbridge Road station in Tremont recorded him as he ran from the subway to the street.

The suspect was described as standing about 5-feet-10-inches and weighting between 170 and 185 pounds. He appeared to be in his 30s and was wearing a plaid shirt, black doo-rag and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the incident of the suspect's identity is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477).
