COLUMBUS CIRCLE — A person was seriously hurt after being struck by a 1 train at the Columbus Circle station Friday afternoon, fire officials and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
The person was struck by a Downtown 1 train just before 3 p.m., according to an FDNY spokesman and an MTA spokesman.
The victim was taken to St. Luke's – Roosevelt Hospital in cardiac arrest, the FDNY spokesman said.
Service was briefly disrupted on the 1, 2 and 3 lines but resumed by 4 p.m., the MTA said.
