STATEN ISLAND — Five people — including two disabled girls — were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a small school bus crashed in Fort Wadsworth on Monday, according to FDNY officials and reports.

The accident at Lily Pond Ave. and McLean Ave. occurred shortly before 3 p.m., according to fire officials.

The Rainbow Transit school bus collided with a white van, according to the Staten Island Advance.

Two bus matrons and the driver of the van were also taken to the hospital, the Advance reported.
