WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A fire broke out in a third-floor apartment in a West 176th Street building late Monday night, fire officials said.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 601 West 176th St, between Wadsworth and St. Nicholas avenues, about 10:30 p.m., officials said.
