NEW YORK — Cops are investigating a break-in at the offices of Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, the NYPD and news sources reported.

Stringer is a likely 2013 mayoral candidate.

Two laptops containing donor and campaign information were snatched from the campaign's office at 40 Worth St. in TriBeCa, NBC New York reported late Monday night. Other laptops and valuables were not taken.

The NYPD confirmed that property was reported stolen from the address at about 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, but declined to confirm that the incident occurred at Stringer's office. A spokesman said the break-in likely happened over the weekend.
