ASTORIA — Police have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into several houses in Astoria, gaining access through a back door or the basement during a five-day, pre-dawn spree earlier this month, cops said.

Corona resident Bryan McCants, 30, has been charged with three counts of burglary for his alleged role in the string of home robberies.

The first incident happened on June 6 at 3 a.m. on Crescent Street, when the burglar broke into a house through a rear door, police said.

The man struck the second time two days later, breaking into a house on 28th Street at 5:55 a.m., also through a rear door.

The most recent burglary occurred June 10th at 2:40 a.m. That time the burglar broke into a home on 10th Street through a basement door.
