UPPER WEST SIDE — A power failure disrupted service on the 1, 2 and 3 subway lines on the Upper West Side and into The Bronx Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Trains lost power from the Central Park North-110th Street station down to the 72nd Street Station shortly before 3 p.m., according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Just after 3 p.m., No. 1 trains were running with delays, No. 2 trains were rerouted to the 5 line from 149th Street-Grand Concourse to the Nevins Street station and No. 3 trains were suspended from Harlem-148th Street to Times Square-42nd Street, the MTA reported.
The cause of the power outage was under investigation, an MTA spokesman said.
