ASTORIA — Greek and Italian food will be on the menu, but foodies will also get a taste of the Afghani, Czech, Lebanese, Thai, Japanese and other worldly cuisines that flourish in Astoria.

Dozens of restaurants, bakeries, cafes and ethnic fast-food outlets will participate in the first-ever Dine Astoria, a weeklong event that starts Sunday and will showcase the wealth of food options that flourish in the neighborhood.

Better still, say organizers, all that food is “just minutes from Midtown Manhattan and LaGuardia airport."

"You will be able to taste food from all over the world, all situated within a few square blocks," said Marie Torniali, executive director of Central Astoria Local Development Coalition, the event organizer.

Participating restaurants will offer special prices and meals from June 24 to 30. Many will have the three-course prix-fixe dinner ranging from $25-$35.

The full list of participating restaurants can be found here.
