QUEENS — Police are looking for a gun-wielding robber who hit three convenience stores in Queens last month, leaving one worker injured.
The robber allegedly struck a 21-year-old worker in the head at IVB Deli, 115-01 Farmers Blvd., in St. Albans, after demanding money about 9:50 a.m. May 21, police said. The victim suffered a cut on his head, while the robber fled the location with an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes, police said.
The suspect is also believed to have been involved in a Lindenwood robbery earlier on May 21, when he entered a Getty gas station Food Mart, located at 78-01 Linden Boulevard. According to police, at 9:04 a.m., the suspect walked up to a 38-year-old store employee, displayed a gun, and fled with an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes.
The most recent robbery took place May 23 at 7:30 p.m., cops said, when the suspect entered the Liberty Deli, at 1090 Liberty Ave. in Ozone Park. Police said the suspect approached a store employee, 32, and demanded goods at gunpoint. Again the man fled with an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes.
Police describe the suspect as being 30 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1, and 175 pounds.
