QUEENS — A motorcyclist died early Friday in a head-on collision with a car in South Ozone Park, authorities said.

The unidentified motorcyclist, 39, was driving south on Lefferts Boulevard about 12:30 a.m., when he lost control of his Kawaski Ninja and struck an oncoming 2001 Nissan Altima near Rockaway Boulevard, NYPD said.

The car's driver, 22, remained at the scene, and no criminality was suspected, police said.

The man suffered severe body trauma in the crash, police said. He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital and pronounced dead.

The victim was the second motorcyclist to die in Queens in less than 24 hours. On Thursday morning, a 27-year-old man was killed in Jackson Heights when his motorcycle was rear-ended by a minivan, police said. The van's driver was not suspected of any criminality.
