JAMAICA — A 22-year-old woman was shot in the stomach on 112th Road Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The victim took a bullet to the torso at 162-17 112th Road at approximately 9:45 a.m., emergency and police officials said.
Paramedics rushed the woman, who has not been identified, to Jamaica Hospital. Her condition was not immediately known, but a police spokeswoman said her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
The circumstances leading to the shooting were not immediately unclear.
No one has been arrested.
