MANHATTAN — A woman was injured after being struck by a motorcycle near Grand Central Station Thursday morning, authorities and witnesses said.

The woman was hit by the motorcycle at East 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue at 9:12 a.m., FDNY officials said.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries, officials added.

A witness said the victim was moving her arms and legs and speaking with police after the incident.

"I heard a thump. As soon as I heard the sound, I knew somebody had been hit," said Kamil Abdullah, 39.

He explained that the motorcyclist tried to help the woman after the collision.

"He got off the motorcycle, went right over to her and was trying to hold her hand," she said. "He seemed like he cared. He was very concerned."
