MANHATTAN —The outbound Lincoln Tunnel was closed for roughly two hours Monday morning after a disabled tractor-trailer forced Port Authority officials to halt most traffic to New Jersey, officials said.
The over-height truck got stuck at the tunnel at 9:15 a.m., the Port Authority reported. It was cleared at 11:12. Buses were exempted from the closure.
New York City's Office of Emergency Management reported "residual delays" on its Twitter account at 11:35 a.m. An alert on the Port Authority website warned drivers to expect delays of 30 minutes.
