MANHATTAN — A woman was left bleeding from the head after she was struck by a taxi while crossing Jane Street near Hudson Street Wednesday night, NYPD and FDNY officials said.
The woman, 70, whose identity was not immediately available, was hit about 10 p.m. Wednesday on the quiet West Village street and was transported to Bellevue Hospital Center, FDNY officials said.
As the accident occurred, the woman clutched her pet terrier, the New York Daily News reported.
The cab driver who hit the woman has not been charged with a crime, police said.
