STATEN ISLAND — Norah Jones, the nine-time Grammy award winner, is set to perform Friday at Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Livingston, serenading fans with songs from her just-released album.

The show will feature music from "Little Broken Hearts," which went on sale Tuesday.

This is the sultry singer's last scheduled concert in the U.S. before leaving for a string of European tour dates. Jones won't return to the stage in New York City until a July 3 show in Central Park.

The concert, along with the upcoming "Island Sounds" exhibit, will help launch the 120th anniversary celebration of Snug Harbor's Music Hall, said Lynn Kelly, CEO and president of Snug Harbor. The historic Music Hall is the second oldest in New York.

"This is a real kick-off to that 120th year celebration," Kelly said.

Jones' debut album, "Come Away With Me," won five Grammy Awards in 2002. She's racked up another four since then.

"Little Broken Hearts," a concept album about a break-up, was described by the Associated Press as a stylish, emotional departure from Jones' previous work.

The concert is on May 4 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 and went on sale Tuesday at noon.
