MANHATTAN — Ivanka Trump may have her finger on spring's hottest trend.
The Donald's daughter showed off her latest look to her legions of Twitter followers — inky digits from being fingerprinted for a liquor license for a swanky new eatery she's trying to open at the Trump SoHo.
"I was just fingerprinted for a liquor license," she wrote. "It won't be fun getting this ink off! Yikes!"
Trump is trying to get the green light to serve up drinks at a new location of the trendy Japanese restaurant Koi, on the ground floor of the Trump SoHo, according to Community Board 2 and State Liquor Authority records.
Koi — which has locations in the Bryant Park Hotel as well as in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Bangkok — is the latest restaurant to try its luck in the 48-story tower at 246 Spring St.
Since December, the 5,400-square-foot restaurant has operated as simply The Restaurant, featuring "modern cuisine, sophisticated comfortable design and European-style service," according to its website.
Under stipulations agreed upon with CB 2, Koi must keep music at "quiet background levels," manage any line of people waiting outside with security staff and velvet ropes and play no music around the Trump SoHo's 7th floor outdoor pool, where Koi will also serve food and cocktails.
Koi's menu features upscale twists on traditional Japanese food, like salmon carpaccio with black truffles and spiced braised short ribs with a plum wine reduction. Prices are not listed online.
Koi attempted to expand in the city in 2009 by opening in the former Salvation Army building on The Bowery. The owners abandoned the plan in January 2010 after Community Board 3 voted down a liquor license application for the planned three-story restaurant, Eater reported.
The restaurant is set to open this summer, a Trump SoHo spokeswoman said.
