DOWNTOWN — Designer Calvin Klein's former model boyfriend was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court after allegedly attacking a man in the West Village early Tuesday morning and having cocaine stuffed in his pants.
Nicholas Gruber, 22, who had a cut under his left eye during his court appearance, asked the man to step out of an apartment they were both in during a party and then punched him in the face, according to prosecutors.
Police arrived after the scuffle and later found cocaine on Gruber when searching him, prosecutors added.
The brawl happened outside a Greenwich Street penthouse about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, the Daily News reported.
Gruber reportedly started flailing his arms to avoid arrest while police tried to cuff him. When authorities searched him at the Sixth Precinct, they found cocaine in his underwear, according to the News.
Gruber is charged with possession of a controlled substance, assault and resisting arrest.
He was released on $10,000 bond.
Klein, 69, and Gruber started dating in 2010, but reportedly broke up in January.
