BRONX — A man was killed while walking on the Bruckner Expressway Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The unidentified 36-year-old victim was struck in the northbound lane while running or attempting to cross the highway near White Plains Road shortly before 5:30 a.m., NYPD and FDNY officials said.
The man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and pronounced dead, police said.
He was hit by a woman driving a Toyota Camry who remained on scene after the crash and was later taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.
