MANHATTAN — Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony gave his support and a tour of the team's locker room to the grieving family of Trayvon Martin — the unarmed teen who was gunned down by a neighborhood watchman in Florida.

Martin's death on Feb. 26 has become a rallying cry about injustice, sparking protests around the country as well as leading politicians, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Barack Obama to weigh in.

"We all have to take care of each other," Anthony tweeted on April 13, along with a picture of him meeting with Martin's family in the Knicks' locker room. "It's time to stand up. I'm honored to have the opportunity."

Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, and older brother, Jahvaris Fulton, 21, met with players at Madison Square Garden that night before the game against the Washington Wizards and then went to see a performance of the "Lion King," according to the New York Post.

Anthony's Twitter page features a picture of him wearing a hoodie along with the words "I am Trayvon Martin."

Another picture of the star forward with the family appears with the tweet "One love."

“It was a blessing and honor," Anthony said, according to the Post.

“We all know the tragedy that happened. Bringing them to the locker room, meeting all the players, meeting the coaches. It was something I wanted to do."

Martin was shot to death by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman at a gated community in Sanford, Fla.

He was wearing a hoodie and carrying only a bag of Skittles and an iced tea, but Zimmerman thought he looked suspicious.

Zimmerman told a 911 operator that he planned to follow the teen, despite warnings not to and a confrontation ensued in which Martin was shot.

Cops arrested Zimmerman last week and charged him with murder amid an outcry for justice in the politically charged case.
