BROOKLYN — Cops were questioning Ryan Beauchamp Tuesday in connection with a frightening fight at a Williamsburg subway station that left a 20-year-old Queens man fatally struck by a train.

Police had been hunting for Beauchamp as a suspect in the altercation that left Joshua Basin, 20, dead after an L train struck him Friday at the Bedford Avenue station.

He has not been formally arrested, police said.

Basin, of Howard Beach, fought with his attacker at the station about 10 p.m. before both men fell onto the tracks.

A witness to the fatal fight said the assailant appeared drunk at the time and was pestering riders on the Brooklyn-bound train, and "clearly looking for a fight" before turning his attention to Basin and another man.

After the train pulled into the station, the attacker allegedly pushed both men out onto the platform and began to fight with the victim, saying "it's showtime," a witness told DNAinfo. The assailant managed to climb back onto the platform, but Basin was hit by the train in front of shocked train riders.

Police released a video of the man they believe fought with Basin, and later released Beauchamp's photo, asking anyone with information to call cops.
