MANHATTAN — The man charged with killing an East Harlem bodega worker and father of two viciously stabbed him to death in retaliation for getting punched by the victim earlier that night, authorities said.

Nabil Fawzi, 20, was arraigned Wednesday on second-degree murder charges in the stabbing death of 30-year-old Kendall Green, who was killed about 5:21 a.m Tuesday in a fight at a bodega on Lexington Avenue near East 116th Street. authorities said.

Fawzi used a knife to stab Green at least a dozen times at Lexington Grocery Corp., according to the criminal complaint.

The accused murderer attacked Green, who friends said has a 1-year-old son and baby daughter, because the bodega worker punched him at some point earlier that night, the complaint said.
