MANHATTAN — The two suspects in the killing of Chelsea event planner John Laubach were charged with murder Saturday after being extradited from Florida, police said.

Laubach, 57, who could often be seen with his beloved cockatoo Bolo, was found bound by duct tape and an electrical cord in his West 22nd Street apartment on March 2.

The suspects in the case, Edwin Faulkner, 30, and Juan Carlos Martinez-Herrera, 26, were picked up in Orlando, Fl., last Thursday and extradited to New York.

It remains unclear why they ended up there, but cops used their phone records to hunt them down.

Surveillance footage captured the suspects using Laubach's ATM card at a nearby bank in the wake of the killing.

Some of the jewelry that was stolen from the victim's apartment was recovered at a local pawn shop.

The motive for the crime remains unclear, but friends of Laubach's said that he had befriended two men who were "hustlers and grifters" in the time before he was killed.
