BRONX — A chunk of stone fell from the fifth floor of a building and hit a man Wednesday, officials said.

A piece of the building's facade, about 3 feet long, toppled from the seven-story building at 509 Willis Avenue, near 148th Street, and shattered on the pavement.

Shortly after the incident, which occurred about 3 p.m., the man was being evaluated at the scene, fire officials said.

The man was treated for minor injuries, the FDNY said.
