BROOKLYN — A fight broke out at a Williamsburg middle school after two students tried to steal another's cell phone, police and schools officials said.

The incident started at 11:30 a.m. at the Lyons Community School at 223 Graham Avenue last Monday, cops at the 90th Precinct said.

"A student said another student reached into his pocket and allegedly took an item that may have been his cell phone," Marge Feinberg, a spokeswoman for Department of Education, wrote in an e-mail. "The victim allegedly attacked the student and a third student approached the two students. All three then started fighting."

The victim was not injured, authorities said.

The school met with the students and their parents, and the two children who allegedly took the phone face disciplinary measures, said Feinberg.
