MIDTOWN — A pre-dawn blaze broke out in a high-rise building on Eighth Avenue Friday, FDNY officials said.
Firefighters were called to 825 Eighth Avenue about 5:30 a.m. The blaze was on the 43rd floor of the 49-story office building, fire officials said.
The single-alarm fire was extinguished about 30 minutes after it began, a fire spokesman said.
The cause is under investigation.
