MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a man who swiped as much as $20,000 in electronics and jewelry from an East Village apartment.
The thief broke into the apartment on Suffolk Street, near Stanton Street, around 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 10, cops said. He's described as 5-foot-9 and about 175 or 180 pounds. Police said the items stolen included computer equipment.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577.
