BRONX — A 4-month-old infant was stabbed in the head during a fight in the South Bronx Friday, authorities said.

The baby was stabbed in the head with a pen about 4:30 p.m. after the child's mother got into a verbal dispute with a female suspect at East 165th Street and Union Avenue, police said.

The baby was taken to Lincoln Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police added.

The suspect had not been apprehended as of early evening Friday.
