MANHATTAN — Brooke Shields must seem like mother of the year to her daughters Rowan and Grier. The actress toted them along to the mother-daughter event at the "Barbie: The Dream Closet" interactive exhibit Saturday morning. Fellow celeb Kelly Rutherford also brought her two children, Deborra-Lee Furness brought her two (dad is Hugh Jackman), as did socialites Muffie Potter Aston, Jill Kargman and Alexandra Lebenthal. Shields looked on while the girls got their hair styled, nails painted, virtually tried on Barbie’s duds and did Barbie-themed crafts. We bet she would have liked to join in — who wouldn't?

Though the cold, wet and partly snowy morning was perfect for staying in bed, the Jill Stuart show drew several celebs including Giant Ramses Barton, Kelly Bensimon and actress Nikki Reed, who then dashed off to spend the rest of the day with her husband. Those newlyweds ...

We’ve seen running from the paparazzi, but after the Jill Stuart show, model Lindsey Wixon took off like a startled deer, running behind the dreaded Port-a-Potties at the tents at Lincoln Center. Either someone needs to decaffeinate or perhaps just pose for a picture?

What is it about a bandage dress that draws so many? Herve Leger’s front row included "Unforgettable" actress Poppy Montgomery making her first and only appearance of fashion week. "This is my only show — I'm working so this is the only day I could come," she told DNAinfo. Coco Rocha was taking in the show, versus walking in it, like she’ll do at Zac Posen’s show on Sunday. And Camilla Alves, talking about how busy she is, made her second appearance of Fashion Week. "I have a lot going on now — I have two handbag lines and am working on a third department store collection, I have two kids and a foundation." Sing it, sister.

Designer Rafael Cennamo almost had a "Who Wore It Better" moment. His head publicist showed up for his presentation at Lincoln Center wearing the same dress actress Gina Gershon was due to arrive in momentarily. Luckily, the publicist was able to squeeze into another frock. Disaster avoided.

Alexander Wang doesn’t seem to be fan of the Giants or the Patriots — he’s with Team Gisele. The young designer hired supermodel Gisele Bundchen (aka the mouthy Mrs. Tom Brady) for her first turn on the New York catwalks in years. Her walk on the runway was without incident, and no, she didn’t blame it on her teammates, Karolina Kurkova, Carmen Kass or Shalom Harlow, all of whom joined her.

Interesting tidbit — Barneys New York Fashion Director Amanda Brooks is related through marriage to former News Corp. executive Rebekah Brooks. Their husbands are brothers.

Clarification: A previous version of this story stated that Brooke Shields' children were not at the "Barbie: The Dream Closet" exhibition event, but DNAinfo.com subsequently learned that the children were in attendance.
