GREENWICH VILLAGE — Police are looking for a gun-wielding robbery suspect who allegedly struck two Greenwich Village porn shops this month.
The suspect took money and merchandise from the adult stores and also injured a clerk at one of the shops, police said.
The suspect's first stop was Xcellent DVD store, at 515 Sixth Ave., where he walked in about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 4 and assaulted a 57-year-old male worker, who suffered an injured neck, police said.
The man then took money from the clerk and the cash register before fleeing, police said.
The thief allegedly struck again about 5 a.m. Feb. 10, when he walked into Cherry Box Video Store at 162 W. Fourth St. and started taking items from the shelves, police said.
The suspect, who was armed with a gun at the time, demanded money from the cash register and then fled, police said.
He is described as standing 5-foot-10, police added.
