MANHATTAN — A fire broke out inside a trash compactor at a building on West 139th Street in Harlem Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Emergency crews responded to a call of the blaze at 45 W. 139th St., near Lenox Avenue, about 4:46 p.m., the FDNY said.

No injuries were reported, and it was not immediately clear how the blaze started, fire officials added.
