UPPER WEST SIDE — A 3-year-old girl suffered a serious head injury late Tuesday on the Upper West Side, officials and neighbors said.

The toddler, whose name was not immediately known, was bleeding from the head when paramedics arrived to 117 W. 90th St. just before 11 p.m., fire officials said. The child temporarily lost consciousness, but later regained it, they said.

Neighbors at the Wise Towers said the girl's family lives on the ninth floor, and that she has a young sibling.

Paramedics rushed her to New York Hospital, where her condition was not immediately known, officials said.

Police responded to the scene, too, but no one was arrested and there were no signs that a crime occurred.
