BROOKLYN — A fire broke out at a seafood company in Clinton Hill early Wednesday, officials said.

The Washington Sea Food at 52 Washington Avenue caught fire about 7:40 a.m., fire officials said. The company is located on the third floor of the four-story building.

Firefighters got the fire under control about 9 a.m., officials said.

The cause of the fire wasn't immediately clear, the FDNY said. It was considered suspicious — labeled as such because the business was closed at the time — and marshals were investigating. Officials do not immediately suspect criminality, however.

There were no reported injuries.
