My Kiss Was 'Memorable' for Lady Gaga, Bloomberg Says

By Ben Fractenberg | January 6, 2012 7:17pm

MIDTOWN — Mayor Michael Bloomberg said his New Year's smooch with Lady Gaga was probably a bigger deal for her than for him, Capital reported.

“I kiss a million people, but that young lady had the opportunity to kiss me, I’m sure it was a memorable thing for her,” the mayor said at the annual MulchFest Friday at Rockefeller Plaza.

For the mayor, the smooch that shook the world was just another stop on his holiday season escapades.

“I’ve been to the ‘world’s tallest menorah’ in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, then another ‘world’s tallest menorah’ in Central Park,” said Bloomberg. “We were at something for Kwanzaa at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. And then, of course, New Year’s Eve, Times Square, with Lady Gaga. Eat your heart out, guys.”

MulchFest kicks off a weekend when the city will have more than 70 sites for people to turn their Christmas trees into pulp.

Their was no official response from Lady Gaga, though she did tweet on New Year's Day how magical the previous evening was.

"I cant even quite describe what tonight felt like. Sort of poetic madness. A dream come true."
