MANHATTAN — Revelers in Times Square didn't have to ring in the New Year on an empty stomach.

Some eateries near the Crossroads of the World brought the party to the throngs of partiers who gathered there to celebrate the end of 2011 — offering pizza and burgers to the massive crowd.

A team of at least 15 sales people from the store on 40th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues brought around 10 pizzas each beginning at 10 a.m. to the hungry masses, hawking medium cheese pies for $20 each, according to worker Zakira Kabore.

Claudia Hernandez and Massimo Coscarella, both 37, from Windsor, Canada, bit on the offer, although it wasn't their first choice.

"It was not worth it, but it was the only option. We're hungry," he said.

And McDonald's on Seventh Avenue and 46th Street was taking its Happy Meals to the crowd.

Cashier Richard Rodriguez, 19, said that some 75 people were working Saturday night, compared to a normal staff of about 30.

Many of the workers were out in the crowd taking orders from revelers, he said.

"Everybody's getting Big Mac's tonight," he said.
