MANHATTAN — A Madison Square Park office building was briefly evacuated Wednesday morning after a suspicious package report.

1 Madison Ave., which is home to Credit Suisse, was cleared after 11:30 a.m. as authorities investigated. Roughly an hour later, it was determined that the package was harmless and the all-clear was given allowing workers to return to the building.

The package ended up containing a camera, police at the scene said.

Earlier, a man on a loudspeaker was heard telling employees, who had gathered outside in Madison Square Park, that they should plan to work from home for the rest of the day, or in 11 Madison Ave. next door, where the company also has office space.
