Rapper 50 Cent to Sign Autographs at J&R Thursday For New Headphone Line

LOWER MANHATTAN — Listen up, 50 Cent fans.

The rapper-actor-entrepreneur will sign autographs at J&R Thursday afternoon on Park Row to promote his pricey new line of headphones.

"I ma be at J&R music tomorrow in downtown NYC at 12.30 for the launch of my@SMSby50," the hip-hop star, real name Curtis Jackson, tweeted Wednesday morning.

Fiddy teamed up with SMS Audio to launch two sets of headphones earlier this month, the $399 wireless "SYNC by 50" and the $299 "STREET by 50."

As with some of 50 Cent's other commercial ventures, the headphone line is for a good cause: For every pair of headphones he sells, the rapper is working with the nonprofit Feeding America to provide meals for 250 people.

In a video promoting the headphones, 50 Cent said they offer better sound quality than other options and are also more stylish and virtually indestructible.

The Queens-born rapper rose to fame with his 2003 album "Get Rich or Die Tryin."

Earlier this year, 50 Cent also launched an energy drink called Street King to help fund the United Nations World Food Programme's work in Africa.

50 Cent will be at J&R, 23 Park Row, at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 15.
