MANHATTAN — A man was found dead in front of the Milford Plaza hotel on Eighth Avenue early Friday morning, authorities said.
The man, 23, was discovered on the ground outside the well-known hotel between West 44th and 45th streets shortly before 5 a.m., with massive head injuries and body trauma, police and fire officials said.
He was declared dead at the scene and taken to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital just after 5 a.m., authorities added.
Police suspect that the man may have jumped and have ruled out the possibility that a vehicle was involved.
