MANHATTAN — A man's body was found in the Hudson River off Battery Park City Saturday morning, officials said.
The 31-year-old man was found unconscious and unresponsive in the water near the North Cove Marina around 9:15 a.m., according to authorities.
He was brought to shore and pronounced dead, police said.
"I saw the body floating in the river at about 9:20 this morning," said security guard Jose Marrelo, 56, who works at Billybay Ferry. "It was horrible."
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
