
MANHATTAN — A man was slashed and robbed of his iPod while walking in Central Park early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The 26-year-old victim told told police that he was approached by a group of men who demanded his property near on 63rd Street and Center Drive, near the Wollman Rink, at 12:30 a.m., police sources said.
In the altercation, he was slashed in the left hand and face and had his glasses knocked off, but refused medical attention, the sources said.
The victim told police that his iPod Nano had been taken. No arrests were made.
