BROOKLYN — A woman who was beaten in a Greenwich Village McDonald's after leaping over the restaurant's counter and allegedly attacking a worker was arrested a day later for harassing another woman.

Rachel Edwards, 24, from Brooklyn, faces misdemeanor harassment and aggravated harassment charges for sending a relative offensive messages, court records obtained by DNAinfo show. She was charged with trespass for the McDonald's incident.

In multiple calls and text messages to a woman named Allison Belmosa, Edwards allegedly said that Belmosa was "a pathetic c---," that Belmosa was "jealous of other people loving [Belmosa's] daughter" and that "[Belmosa's] daughter's father was a poor man," according to the criminal complaint for the incident.

Edwards and Belmosa are first cousins, according to a family member who declined to provide her name.

Edwards also allegedly told Belmosa she "did not understand why God allowed [Belmosa] to have children when other people could not have children," according to the complaint.

Edwards did not return multiple calls requesting comment on the incident and did not answer the door at her last known address. Her attorney, Cary London of Brooklyn Defender Services, declined to comment on her case.

Belmosa also did not return multiple phone calls.

Although the messages were allegedly sent in May, Edwards was arrested on Oct. 14.  Brooklyn Supreme Court issued Belmosa a temporary order of protection against her, according to court records.

The arrest was a day after McDonald's worker Rayon McIntosh, 31, beat Edwards and her friend Denise Darbeau, 24, during a fight in the West Third Street eatery.

McIntosh, who is in custody at Rikers Island and faces felony assault charges, beat the two women with a metal grill cleaner, leaving Edwards with a deep cut on her arm and Darbeau with a fractured skull. The entire incident was recorded by a customer's cell phone camera.

McDonald's cashier Michael Joseph, 18, said in a Manhattan Criminal Court hearing on Oct. 18 that Edwards and Darbeau sparked the attack in the 136 W. 3rd St. McDonald's by verbally abusing the restaurant's workers.

Edwards is due to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court Dec. 8 on trespass charges stemming from the McDonald's incident.  She's due in Brooklyn Supreme Court for the harassment charges on Dec. 12.
