FINANCIAL DISTRICT — High-end stores across the Financial District are offering special deals Monday evening for the second annual Luxury Night Out.

BMW at 67 Wall St. will host a free wine-and-cheese reception to preview the new Mini Coupe and BMW 6 series. Just down the block, La Maison du Chocolat at 63 Wall St. will offer a tasting of ganache, hot chocolate and a Cuenca, a cold chocolate drink.

Those who prefer to sip wine can taste sparkling varieties at Downtown Cellars, 55 Liberty St., or try a few West Coast wines at California Wine Merchants, 15 Bridge St.

Two of Downtown's luxury hotels are also getting into the spirit: The W New York Downtown, at 123 Washington St., will offer buy-one-get-one-free cocktails at its fifth-floor bar and terrace, while the Andaz Wall Street, at 75 Wall St., will offer free cheese and charcuterie with drinks purchased at Bar Seven Five, along with free dessert with entrees purchased at Wall & Water Restaurant.

Melissa Andreev, manager at La Maison, started Luxury Night Out last year as a way of encouraging shoppers to linger in a part of town better known for its business deals.

"Uptown had Fashion Night Out, but it never really reached down here," Andreev said last year. "We wanted to do something fun to showcase this area."

Other participants include the Tourbillon boutique at 45 Wall St., which will offer a gift with purchase, and Bobby Van's Steakhouse, at 25 Broad St., which is giving away a glass of wine or a dessert with each meal purchased.

Most of the events will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 26, but hours vary. Check the event flyer for details.
