UPPER WEST SIDE — The catwalks at Lincoln Center aren't the only places to see haute couture during Fashion Week.

The Museum of Arts and Design will celebrate Fashion Week — which runs from Sept. 8 through Sept. 15 — on the big screen with its Fashion in Film cinema series.

The series, co-curated by Barneys New York creative ambassador-at-large Simon Doonan, "showcases innovative cinematic moments that have expectedly and unexpectedly influenced the worlds of style and fashion," according to the museum's website.

Those silver screen moments range from the 1965 Russ Meyer cult classic "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" to "Hearts and Crafts," a behind-the-scenes documentary about the ateliers of Hermes.

Doonan will introduce Friday night's showing of "Qui Êtes-Vous, Polly Magoo?" a 1966 satire of the fashion industry by photographer-filmmaker William Klein. Saturday's screening of "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg," the classic French musical starring Catherine Deneuve, will be followed by a cocktail reception hosted by L'Oreal.

For a full line up of films or to purchase tickets, visit the Museum of Arts and Design website. The Museum of Arts and Design is at 2 Columbus Circle.
