
MANHATTAN — Nearly a dozen celebrity chefs who have restaurants near the High Line will bring their culinary prowess to the elevated park in October for a pricey fundraising extravaganza.
It's the first time that part of the annual event — cocktails and hors d’oeuvres — will take place on the High Line itself. Attendees then have a chance to enjoy a walk-around tasting dinner at Colicchio & Sons at 85 10th Ave.
Discerning diners will get a chance to watch the sunset over the Hudson while sampling dishes from "Top Chef Judge Tom Colicchio of Colicchio & Sons, Larry Finn of Morimoto, Anthony Ricco of Spice Market and others. The event will then

Since the High Line opened in 2009, the area of 10th Avenue around it has become a hotspot for restaurants.
"They’ve given us great reports of increases in business since the High Line opened," David added.
The event will cost $500 to $2,500 per person, with proceeds going to the High Line's maintenance and operation costs.
It will take place on Oct. 23rd at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from Friends of the High Line.
