Hester Street Fair Goes Vintage This Weekend

LOWER EAST SIDE — The Hester Street Fair is turning back the clock this weekend.

The popular outdoor market will have at least eight vintage vendors on hand, selling everything from retro shoes and dresses to baseball cards and typewriters.

The two newest additions to the Saturday street fair are Wanderlust Vintage, which mines classic clothing and accessories from around North America, and The Cameo Vintage, which will unveil its fall collection at the open-air event.

In addition, returning vendor American Collectables sells all manner of ephemera, from vintage toys and jewelry to a tabletop butter churn from the early 1900s.

The Hester Street Fair, co-founded by television personality SuChin Pak, has featured a revolving roster of vendors since debuting in April of last year. Since then, tens of thousands of shoppers have visited.

More than 20 food vendors will set up for this Saturday’s event, held at the corner of Hester and Essex streets.
