HARLEM - Cops discovered a safe at a Hamilton Heights gas station Sunday morning after a concerned worker there called 911.

The lock box, which was left next to a pump at 800 St. Nicholas Ave., near 150th Street, was found to contain receipts, sources said.

A worker at the station called 911 at around 6:45 a.m. after spotting the mysterious metal box on the property.

Yudelka Germosei, a worker there, said she arrived at the station around 8:30 a.m. and saw emergency services cops working on the safe, which was about the size of a microwave.

“I’m [didn't] go outside. I’m scared. It could be a bomb or something. You never know," she said.

Germosei said that when cops opened the lock box, she saw slips of yellow paper.

"People never left stuff like that before," she said.

The contents are under investigation.
