CENTRAL PARK — The blazing heat didn't stop die-hard Cee Lo Green fans from getting down to his live performance for the 'Today Show' in Central Park Friday morning.

Wearing a crisp white shirt and loose white pants, the funky star sweated his way through his hot single "Forget You,"  the Gnarls Barkley hit single "Crazy" and "Bright Lights, Bigger City," a song from his latest album, The Lady Killer.

The star may have looked cool onstage, but he admitted later that the scorching weather wasn't an element to be reckoned with.

its 100 degrees not to mention the stage lights. What did u have to do for a living this morning?" Green tweeted after the show.

Despite Friday's soaring temperatures which reached 102.9 degrees, audience members packed into the Central Park stage to sing along and dance while Green got funky with his all-female band.

"(it's Cee Lo Green day)."

"I thought he would be in some fancy costume," @Johnny-Strategy added, perhaps in reference to the Mardi Gras Indian getup, complete with a red, green and blue feather headdress, that Green wore to the Grammys for his performance with Gwyneth Paltrow.

"But I guess it was too hot and he decided to dress down."

Most fans were thrilled to see the star, anyway.

"As if it wasn't hot enough this morning...here I go throwing gasoline onto the fire. @ tweeted, in reference to the concert.

on this AM! I'm SUCH a !!!!!!!" @everythingro added.

During his interview with Matt Lauer, Green talked about his return as a voice coach to NBC's singing competition show, "The Voice," this winter.

“I love the freedom. I love the foresight. I love the future of it,” he said in the interview.

“It’s really an endorsement of the underdog and that attitude. We are a majority, and I feel like I get to be an advocate of such a thing and it’s really pleasurable for me.”
