MANHATTAN — Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a shooting on Brighton Beach boardwalk that left Harlem teen Tysha Jones dead and four others wounded.

Iloune Driver, of Coney Island, was charged with second-degree murder and assault with intent to cause serious physical injury, NYPD officials said.

As he was led from the 60th Precinct in Brooklyn Monday evening, Driver told reporters, "I didn't do it, it wasn't me. They got the wrong person." He was expected to be arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

He allegedly unleashed a deadly spray of gunfire that stemmed from a fight in which one youth was hit with a bottle and another with an umbrella, according to reports.

But Jones, 16, who was hit in her torso, and a patron at the nearby Tatiana Restaurant were not thought to be the shooter's targets, reports said.

Another of the shooting victims remained in critical condition at Coney Island Hospital, according to reports.

Jones' relatives said the arrest did little to ease the pain.

"It doesn't make it better. It's not going to bring her back," said mom Cynthia Jones who wished death on the perpetrator.

Jones said she was angry that her child was killed over nonsense.

"I'm going to go to all the court dates so they know her family is there," she added.

Stacey Morris, Tysha's aunt, said she wanted answers to how Jones ended up dead.

"Who brings a gun to the beach? Who has to watch their back at the beach? This is senseless violence," Morris said, adding the alleged killer should spend the rest of his life in jail.

"He should suffer in jail, sit there and think about what he did," Morris said, "But at least his family can visit him. When we go visit Tysha for her birthday next month, it'll be at the grave site," Morris said.
