MANHATTAN — A school bus collided with a car on the Upper East Side Monday, according to the FDNY.

The accident happened on Lexington Avenue, between 85th and 86th streets at 7.59 a.m.

The bus was carrying young children. A firefighter at the scene said none of the children were hurt.

A passenger in the car was taken to a hospital, but is not thought to be seriously hurt.

The bus driver said he hit the car after it stopped in front of him.

"The kids are fine, everybody's fine," he said.

A local store delivered lemonade and chocolate to the children as they waited on board the bus for another vehicle to arrive.
