MANHATTAN — A man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after he fell between train cars in  Penn Station.

The 60-year-old man was taken to Bellevue Hospital at about 11.40 a.m.

He had just boarded the Amtrak train to Washington D.C., which was still standing at the station, an Amtrak spokesman said. He fell onto the tracks.

The extent of his injuries were not immediately known.

The accident left power cut off to track 15, though no delays were reported.

An Amtrak staff member at the station said she saw the man being taken from the platform on a stretcher.
